Intense rehearsals with Freak

freak_march_2013

We rehearse once again on regular basis, and are working to expand our regular set. Although the material is ancient; the arrangements are getting tighter and tighter. Freak has never sounded as good as now.

These are the songs we play at the moment:

  1.  Eternal Sleep
  2. Breathe
  3. Fire
  4. Steelskull
  5. Lost
  6. Creator of Souls
  7. Heterodox
  8. Demons’ Breed

Live from the rehearsal studio

Please feel free to enjoy – or despise – this recording from Freak’s rehearsal studio. It was recorded late at night on July 9, 2012; prior to our reunion gig this autumn.

Even if it is a simple recording and it’s unedited, we think it’s Freak at our very prime.

See you in Hell!

New demo released today

During preparations for our reunion gig on September 29, 2012 we recorded some songs for a demo. It is recorded live in the rehearsal studio in Hägersten, Stockholm and contains all tracks we played at Spinnrocken later that week.

This demo is entitled Yamaha. It’s gotta be called something.

Please let us know what you think.

Freak’s reunion was a big success

Freak was once again on stage, for the first time since 1997, abusing the ears and souls of the crowd at Spinnrocken’s celebration of the music association Aztor. The audience was not only abused, they were pleased.

We have not performed live since 1997, so it wasn’t a safe sure thing that everything would turn out good even though we’ve been rehearsing like crazy the last few months. But our mutual feeling is that our performance last night – headlining at Aztor’s party at the Spinnrocken venue in Södertälje, south of Stockholm, was a big success. And we are very happy to share this feeling with a variety of people from the audience.

Things couln’t have turned our better. Thanks to everyone involved!
